In one of the worst mix-ups in the history of the Empire the newest Star Destroyer in the Imperial Fleet was delivered into the hands of the Rebellion last week. Using the most elaborate slicing scheme in history 10,000 computer systems at Kuat Drive Yards, Imperial Intelligence, the Imperial Navy, to name just a few were all altered to state that the Star Destroyer Eradicator should be delivered to a crew waiting at the Imperial Navy outpost orbiting Xyrix 7.

The KDY delivery crew handed over the Eradicator at the Xyrix outpost after it was thoroughly checked over and approved by the waiting crew and receipt of payment from the Imperial Navy. The KDY staff was then shuttled back to the shipyard in one of the Lambada class shuttles.

Three days later a KDY representative contacted the Imperial Navy after being unable to contact the Eradicator to ensure all systems were operating normally, a standard KDY follow up procedure on all ship deliveries. The KDY rep was informed that the Imperial Navy did not have any ship by the name Eradicator in their fleet, nor did they have an outpost at Xyrix 7.

A battle group was immediately dispatch to Xyrix 7 to investigate. Upon arrival the only item found in orbit was a beacon repeating the cryptic message "So long and thanks for all the fish." Additionally a large subspace signature was found indicating something the size of a small space station had left the sector in the past 24 hours.

A Star Destroyer, most likely Eradicator, has been spotted during several encounters with the Rebel Fleet in the past three days.
